Courtyard and Gardens

The charming courtyard lies at the heart of Upwaltham Barns, surrounded by Jasmine Cottage, the South Barn, the East Barn, and the bar.

With its outdoor seating, parasols, topiary and colourful pots, the courtyard is a lovely spot for your guests to congregate for a drinks reception after your ceremony, or on arrival.

You may like to have acoustic musicians such as a string quartet, harpist or guitarist playing for your guests as they enjoy their reception drinks, or perhaps a hog roast or barbecue in the evening.

The colourful cottage gardens, with old-fashioned roses and herbaceous plants, are a perfect backdrop for romantic yet relaxed wedding photographs with friends and family.
